Exercise Your Mind, Like You Would Your Body

It's a New Year, and while many people have made the resolution to lose weight by exercising the body, not as many people have resolved to be happier by exercising their mind.  While it is important to have a healthy body, it is even more important to have a  healthy mind.  Instead of going for a run today, while not sit down and have some meditation time?  Simply sit, close your eyes and count your breaths.  Take a time out.  Relax.  Then, when your ready, start another fun exercise with the mind: Visualization.  Picture yourself how you want to be, and feel it happening to you.  Do you feel a smile on your face?  Even, perhaps a little teardrop falling from your eye?  That is the power of visualization. Your mind is believing what it is seeing, what you are telling it to see, and your emotions are corresponding to that.  Plant those happy visions in your mind.  When you believe it, you will feel it and when you feel it, you will see it.
